I know I’ve already been talking about lacrosse season and its impending onset. Even over the short time between when I started mentioning it and now its weight and size has at least doubled in size. My memories of being busy with duties and tasks and games and events wasn’t accurate. It is 1000x more consuming.
Tonight we had our first real game in Coquitlam. At the start it looked a little dicey, but the guys really warmed up midway through the second period and they took off from there. The final score was 11-5.
I got to see some people that I really, really like and that reminded me again that above all the politics and all the drama and dysfunction, there are really good people involved in this sport and I am so thankful to be a part of it. I need these reminders for the times when the other stuff creeps in.
It felt good to walk into that arena again and to be a part of it all. I know it’s going to go by in a flash so I’m just going to try to enjoy it while it last. Also, to survive it.
